"There will be Blood"

Won 2 Oscars:
-Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role
Daniel Day-Lewis
-Best Achievement in Cinematography
Robert Elswit
-Nominated for 6 other awards at the Oscars.

The movie starts off slow with no dialogue for the first 15 minutes, it was an interesting approach, it wasn't that there was no sound it was that there was a man alone mining for silver and he didn't talk to himself.

The plot was about a man who was in the Oil drilling business always trying to make a buck here and there and he is willing to do anything to get what he want. Throughout the movie there are themes of Family, Greed and Religion. I was impressed with the acting, again i like when i see new actors, or at least actors that you don't see much of in movies. I think the movie had some undertones i missed, but it doesn't hurt the movie by not understanding all of them. The ending is abrupt and you are kind of left feeling like you want the rest of the story. Check it out and let's discuss.

but i will say this. i have seen his performances before and after watching him accept his award at the academy awards... i was shocked!

he looks nor sounds nothing like he does on screen. amazing method actor.

i will hopefully elaborate soon after seeing this movie.
