So i had no idea what this movie was about therefore i guess you could say i had low expectations.
I honestly don't know where to begin talking about this movie. so i will let IMDB do a little talking for me.
Plotline: A genetic anomaly allows a young man to teleport himself anywhere. He discovers this gift has existed for centuries and finds himself in a war that has been raging for thousands of years between "Jumpers" and those who have sworn to kill them.
So thats the plot and of course intertwined in the plot is another story about love. This movie has a lot of action drama and suspense i left the theatre wanting to be a Jumper, if you saw the movie you would know why. But i think i would be a Jumper that helps people around the world in life treating situations, flood, fire and any other kind of disaster. If you are totally confused watch the movie and it might make more sense.

i have to admit. after reading the synopsis, thanks to imdb, it sounds ridiculous. the plot sounds shallow.
man has a special power- cool
other people try to kill the man with power - not so cool
this just seems to be a repeated theme within the "action hero" genre.
superman-has cool power
lex luthor- wants to kill superman
why? doesnt matter, he just does
spiderman-has cool power
everyone bad-wants to kill him
why? no one knows. they just do!
batman-cool power/money
bad guys-want to kill
why? you get where im going right?
so ya. seems repetitive and surface level
but like i said i havnt seen the movie but my guess is it isnt far off.
if purely the movie is meant to entertain and show off cool effects and make you want to be a "jumper"
then it is what it is..
personally i want more from the movies i watch and hopefully the movies i someday make.
thats my two cents as of now. if i see it and totally change my mind i will definitely post and bite my tongue..

Lance it is true the movie is very surface level but it is pretty entertaining and that what hollywood movie are all about, right?
Its called a story, like any comic book its a story, they might all be a like in some shape or form but isn't that with any genre of movie.....(i.e. action, horror, drama) or any other novel! gee

i believe that this is a big issue with hollywood these days. I think that many stories are so much like the last.
which is why its so good when a solid movie comes along..
which movies have you all seen lately that have been "out of the norm" if you will??
